Our Vision
To have our unique curriculum-based package of audio-visual, interactive and print resources used every day in learning environments across the United Kingdom and globally via our sister companies in North America, Australia, New Zealand and distribution partners in other countries.
Classroom Video was founded in 1984 by former school teacher and TV producer John Davis. We have over 400 programmes in our library spanning the majority of subjects in the school curriculum.
Classroom Video combines the experience of professionals, from teachers and educational consultants to producers and technicians to create a balance between content and quality. The result is an extensive library of innovative programmes that meet teachers' needs. In addition to our in-house productions, we aim to bring our customers the very best of educational and documentary programming from the world's leading production companies.
All programmes come complete with teachers' notes and a programme summary. All programmes are available on DVD and are available on preview for assessment prior to purchasing.
Classroom Video has offices in England, Australia, the USA and New Zealand. Many of our programmes have won prestigious awards, including the International Science Film Festival 2001 (Beijing) and Kids Jury Programme Award at the Karlsruhe Festival in Basel (Switzerland) for the programme Atom Bomb.
Our aim is to produce educational programmes that are easily incorporated into, complement and become an integral part of teachers' lesson plans. We will keep up-to-date with the latest curriculum changes — which will be reflected in future productions. We will continue to foster learning by engaging and entertaining students.
